A teenager's Civil War

Student journalist does history:
"... the battlefield receives 200,000 visitors a year to reminisce about the battle of Stones River..."
How well I remember it.

"President Lincoln desperately wanted a victory to help boost the popularity of the Emancipation Proclamation...

This victory in Tennessee has caused me to rethink the rights of man.
... so the battle began and ended three days later..."

There was quick turnaround on those Lincoln wish lists.
"After being defeated, the Confederacy retreated as the Union went on to win Chattanooga and Atlanta, which ultimately led to the Union Army's victory in the Civil War."
That's finger-lickin' good fast-food history.
