This is striking:

The pro-battlefield letters are scarce. Preservationists are seen as greedy, ignorant, confused, and disingenuous.
No major, well-funded, or national Civil War battlefield organization is organizing or even advising the Franklin Battlefield effort. I guess they are busy fundraising.
What a fiasco.
